Striping is Done! PDF Print E-mail

8/24/2010 - Thanx again to all who came out tonight.  We were out of there by 6:30 pm due to the great work done to the night before.  BTW, we owe Geoff Hale a huge round of thanx.  He came out early both days and completed a majority of the striping along with getting the striper, nitrogen, paint, cleanup water, etc.

8/23/2010 - Wow! What an effort.  We made great progress tonight with help from Geoff Hale, Mike Spence, Ocie Booker, Lou Savino, Barry Chase and his wife, OneBadRSX05, Chris and Brian Schork, Al Murrell and Jamey Aebersold.  With this great turnout we were able to knock out the white stripes and a majority of the numbers.  All that remains are the yellow stripes and a few more numbers.  Our start time will be at 5:00 pm again on Tuesday, but we will NOT meet on Wednesday.

Cheers!

Sound Control Guidelines for Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium Autocross Site

Kentucky Region SCCA

5/6/2010

      1. An announcement will be made at the driver's meeting and will include the following:

Sound control is in effect for this site and is necessary to prevent loss of use of the site.  A reading of 93 dB or greater will constitute a sound violation.  The sound meter will be placed at the end of row U/V closest to the train tracks and next to the curb. The settings of the meter will be “A” weighting and “slow” response. Sound readings are, by nature, variable with temperature, humidity, wind direction / velocity, course design, etc.  Efforts will be made by the region to minimize variation in sound readings due to course design and location of the sound measuring station.  Sound readings at this event are not per the Solo Rules guidelines. Due to site specific needs these readings should not be used if your car meets sound requirements at a Divisional or National event.  Sound readings at this event will likely be at least 3 - 5 db lower than if measured at a Divisional or National event.

      2.  Competitors with readings of 90, 91, or 92 dB will be notified immediately after their run.  The competitor will be advised of the rules/penalties regarding violations and advised of methods of how to potentially reduce sound levels. A sound level reading of 92 is not a violation.  If the meter reads fractional dB, the reading is rounded down to the nearest whole number (92.8 = 92 dB, 88.7 = 88 dB).

      3.  Any run with a sound violation will be scored as a DNF.  The competitor will be advised of the rules/penalties regarding violations and advised of methods of how to potentially reduce sound levels. Any/all runs prior to the violation stand as originally scored. After a sound violation, the competitor must demonstrate a sincere effort to make the car quieter before another run can be attempted.

      4.  If a competitor has a sound violation, has made a sincere effort to quiet the car, is still in violation and has no scored runs then the entry fee will be refunded to the competitor. If the competitor has scored at least one run without a sound violation then no refund will be awarded.
